Lexi’s journey into the world of professional photography began in high school, where a simple request to her journalism teacher changed her life. Lexi wasn’t passionate about writing, so her teacher handed her a Nikon D3000 and told her to learn it. From that moment, she fell in love with capturing moments through a lens. What started as photographing classmates for the school newspaper and yearbook quickly evolved into a full-blown passion. By her senior year, she had her own camera and started her Cincinnati-based photography business just a year later. Since her first paid wedding gig in 2013, Lexi has been dedicated to her craft, capturing beautiful memories for clients across the country.
Lexi’s photography journey has taken her to many places, with Hawaii standing out as her absolute favorite destination. She recalls a stunning trip with Kristina and Alex in February 2022, describing the breathtaking landscapes of Hawaii as unforgettable. Close seconds on her list are Colorado and Oregon, where she fell in love with the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
When it comes to gear, Lexi started with Nikon and, after a brief stint with Sony, returned to Nikon’s mirrorless cameras for weddings and family sessions. She loves the versatility these cameras offer, especially for her dynamic and creative photography style. But her journey doesn’t stop there—she’s already eyeing her next big purchase, a Canon body, and lens for studio work.
What sets Lexi apart is her “superpower”: her creativity and artistic style. While she appreciates the timeless beauty of classic poses, she always adds a touch of drama and movement to her images. Her unique flair makes her work stand out, and she’s constantly exploring new techniques to elevate her craft, making her a sought-after wedding photographer in Cincinnati and beyond.
As a wedding photographer, Lexi’s favorite moments to capture are the one-on-one sessions with the couple. She knows how much these intimate shots mean to the couple and their loved ones. A close second for her is capturing the first look, where she gets to witness and immortalize the raw emotions as couples see each other for the first time on their big day.
Lexi is also stepping into a beautiful new chapter in her life as she prepares to welcome her baby girl, Stevie Quinn, in late Fall 2024. This new era as a mama will undoubtedly bring even more depth and emotion to her work as she captures life’s most precious moments, now with an even greater understanding of love and family.
